Pop singer, Alicia Keys, helped raised a ton of money for her charity. Keys along with Uma Thurman, Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Jay-Z and a host of other celebs got together and raised more then $2 million for Alicia’s Keep A Child Alive Black Ball.
The event is held annually to raise money for children and families who suffer from HIV and AIDs in both India and Africa.
Alicia keys, along with her and her pal’s money, contributed her singing talent to the event. She sang along with R&B legend Sade and rapper Jay-Z. The rapper and Keys performed their hit song, ‘Empire State of Mind.’
Keys was in the company of Swizz Beatz, her new husband and soon to be baby’s father.
Key’s Keep A Child Alive Black Ball has been going strong for 6 years. The event has raised more then $10 million since its establishment.
